The purpose of an anti-fungal diet should be relatively obvious, to avoid foods that contain fungi in order to reduce the severity of fungal infections in your body. Unfortunately, it is not as easy as that and that is why you’re here! We’ll teach you the foods to avoid and the foods to munch on as much as humanly possible so that you can kick the unwanted little creatures from your body.
Foods That You Can Eat On The Anti Fungal Diet
You might think that diets severely restrict what you can take into your body. However, with the anti fungal diet your options are pretty endless. When I personally undertook the diet I stuck to meats, eggs and dairy products. Yummy. I also threw in some vegies and berries to get the vitamins and minerals I needed to help support a healthy system, because that is what matters most. You could even use the anti fungal diet for weight loss if you are interested or on the kids!
Here is a short list of foods you can consume:
- Apples (note most fruits should be avoided on this diet)
- Meats (NO restrictions)
- Eggs and Dairy products (Preferably from sheep or goats)
- Vegetables (except potatoes, peas and beans.)
- Herbal Teas
- Nuts (except peanuts and pistachios)
- Apple Cider Vinegar (Note most vinegars ARE banned!)
If you can’t find food that fit into the above categories to eat whilst on the diet you need to do some serious rethinking. Unlike diets that say eat this then this and then this, they anti fungal diet basically just restricts some foods. So it would probably be a better gauge to check the food you can’t eat when preparing meals.

If you are looking at what foods to not eat to avoid fungal infections then you must realise the basic principle behind it is to avoid foods that are high in starch and contain sugar. (Yes fructose is a sugar, HENCE why we try to avoid fruits!)
